Apple has added a preview function that lets people glance over mobile applications in their Web browsers instead of opening (or even needing to install) the desktop iTunes software.
Late last year the company launched a music preview function to enable users to see what songs and albums were available on iTunes without launching the desktop software itself. This recent addition enables the preview of iPhone/iPod Touch apps in a browser, instead of asking the user to launch iTunes separately.
Providing users with an app's logo, price, description, screenshots, rating, and reviews, the move offers an easier-to-access overview of its features and how others are using it.
