According to the latest data from StatCounter, Firefox 3.5 has overtaken Internet Explorer 7 as the most popular browser, with 21.93 per cent of traffic compared to IE7's 21.2 per cent. Safari 4.0 stayed steady around three per cent and Opera 9.6 has about one per cent. However, when all versions are taken into account Microsoft's Internet Explorer (6, 7 and 8) remains the overall most popular browser with approximately 56 per cent of market share. The use of IE8 is rising fast and it's likely to take top spot from Firefox soon. The next version of Firefox is not due out for another year but one of its developers has revelaed some design changes on their blog. The biggest difference is being called the App Button, which condenses all the basic menu items into into one single button.
